حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ خَلَفٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ (إِنَّهُ عَمِلَ غَيْرَ صَالِحٍ) .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this verse in this way: "Indeed, he did deeds that were not righteous."
