Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20066 — The Prophet ﷺ was in the desert when

Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the desert when suddenly a voice called out: "O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to look but saw no one; then he looked again and saw a tethered doe. She said: "Come near me, O Messenger of Allah." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) went near her and said: "What do you need?" She said: "I have two fawns in this mountain; untie me so that I may go and suckle them, then I will come back to you." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Will you do that?" She said: "If I do not, may Allah punish me with a punishment like that of the pregnant she-camels." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) untied her, and she went, suckled her fawns, then came back, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) tied her up again. Then the Bedouin owner woke up and asked: "Do you need something, O Messenger of Allah?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, let this doe go." So he released her, and she ran off saying: "I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah, and that you are the Messenger of Allah."
