حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَكْذِبُ فِيهِ الصَّادِقُ، وَيَصْدُقُ فِيهِ الْكَاذِبُ، وَيَخُونُ فِيهِ الْأَمِينُ، وَيُؤْتَمَنُ الْخَؤُونُ، وَيَشْهَدُ الْمَرْءُ وَلَمْ يُسْتَشْهَدْ، وَيَحْلِفُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُسْتَحْلَفْ، وَيَكُونُ أَسْعَدَ النَّاسِ بِالدُّنْيَا لُكَعُ بْنُ لُكَعٍ، لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A time will surely come upon people in which the truthful one will lie and the liar will speak the truth, the trustworthy will betray and the treacherous will be regarded as trustworthy, a man will give testimony without being asked, and swear an oath without being asked to swear, and the most fortunate of people in this world will be a base one, son of a base one, who does not believe in Allah and His Messenger."
