حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، وَعُثْمَانُ، قَالُوا: ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ: لَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، قُلْتُ: غَرَبَتْ فِي أَرْضٍ غُرْبَةً لَأَبْكِيَنَّهُ بُكَاءً يُتَحَدَّثُ عَنْهُ، قَالَتْ: فَإِنِّي لَكَذَلِكَ إِذْ أَتَتْنِي امْرَأَةٌ تُسْعِدُنِي مِنَ الصَّعِيدِ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «تُرِيدِينَ أَنْ تُدْخِلِي الشَّيْطَانَ بَيْتًا، قَدْ أَخْرَجَهُ اللهُ مِنْهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ» ، قَالَتْ: فَتَرَكْتُهُ وَلَمْ أَبْكِهِ
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: When Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) died in Madinah, I said: He has gone to dwell in a foreign land; I will weep over him with such weeping that people will keep speaking of it. She said: I was in that state when a woman came to me from the open country to help me (in weeping). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came face to face with her and said: "Do you want to bring Satan into a house from which Allah has driven him out twice?" She said: So I left it and did not weep over him.
