عون بن عبد الله بن عتبة، عن أبي سلمة، عن أم سلمة
Awn bin Abdullah bin Utbah from Abu Salamah from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19854 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ، وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخَيَّاطُ، قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَنْبَسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يُصَابُ بِمُصِيبَةٍ، فَيَقُولُ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ، اللهُمَّ عِنْدَكَ أَحْتَسِبُ مُصِيبَتِي، فَأْجُرْنِي فِيهَا، وَاعْقُبْنِي مِنْهَا خَيْرًا، إِلَّا آجَرَهُ اللهُ فِي مُصِيبَتِهِ، فَأَعْقَبَهُ اللهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "There is no servant who is struck by a calamity and says: 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un, Allahumma 'indaka ahtasibu musibati, fa'jurni fiha, wa'qubni minha khayra' (We belong to Allah and to Him we return. O Allah, with You I seek the reward for my calamity, so reward me in it and give me something better than it in exchange), except that Allah rewards him in his calamity and gives him something better than it in exchange."
