Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19844 — One day the Prophet ﷺ came to me

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا، فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، وَلَمْ أَكُنْ أَرَاهُ يُصَلِّيهِمَا فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا هَاتَانِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ، قَالَ: «قَدِمَ وَفْدُ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ، فَكُنْتُ أُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ، فَلَمْ أَكُنْ صَلَّيْتُهُمَا فَهُمَا هَاتَانِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: One day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and prayed two rak'ahs after Asr, though I had never seen him (peace and blessings be upon him) pray them before. So I said: O Messenger of Allah! What are these two rak'ahs? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The delegation of Banu Tamim came, so I could not pray the two rak'ahs after Zuhr; these are those."
