حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ الْقِتْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الرَّوَاحُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ، وَالْغُسْلُ كَاغْتِسَالِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ»
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَمَّالُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، ثنا أَبُو سُفْيَانَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحِمْيَرِيُّ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ حُمْرَةَ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ، قَالَ: «أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَهُ شَعْرٌ يَضْرِبُ مَنْكِبَيْهِ مَخْضُوبٌ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ»

It is narrated from Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Going (to the prayer) on the day of Jumu'ah is obligatory upon every adult, and its ritual bath (ghusl) is like the ritual bath for janabah."
Sayyiduna Abu Rimthah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and his (peace and blessings be upon him) hair reached his shoulders and was dyed with henna and katam (a plant used for dyeing hair).
