Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19634 — when the dawn broke, the Messenger

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the dawn broke, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would pray two rak'ahs.
