حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَلَيَّ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ وَعِنْدِي جَارِيَتَانِ تُغَنِّيَانِ تَذْكُرَانِ يَوْمَ بُعَاثٍ، يَوْمَ قُتِلَ فِيهِ صَنَادِيدُ الْأَوْسِ وَالْخَزْرَجِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: عِبَادَ اللهِ أَمَزْمُورُ الشَّيْطَانِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ؟، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ عِيدًا وَالْيَوْمُ عِيدُنَا»
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: On the day of Eid, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came in to me while two slave girls were with me, singing and recalling the Day of Bu'ath, the day on which the chiefs of Aws and Khazraj were killed. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O servants of Allah! Is the flute of Satan being played in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Bakr! Every people has an Eid, and today is our Eid."
