Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19587 — I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ، ثنا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ رَاشِدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُومُ عَلَى بَابِ حُجْرَتِي وَالْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ بِحِرَابِهِمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتُرُنِي بِرِدَائِهِ لِكَيْ أَنْظُرَ إِلَى لَعِبِهِمْ، فَيَقُومُ مِنْ أَجْلِي قَائِمًا حَتَّى كُنْتُ أَكُونُ أَنَا أَنْصَرِفُ، فَاقْدُرْ يَا ابْنَ أُخْتِي قَدْرَ الْجَارِيَةِ الْحَدِيثَةِ السِّنِّ الْحَرِيصَةِ عَلَى اللهْوِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) standing at the door of my chamber while the Abyssinians were playing with their spears in the mosque, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was screening me with his cloak so that I could watch their play. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would remain standing for my sake until I was the one who went away. So, O my nephew, estimate the eagerness of a young girl who is keen on amusement.
