حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُ مَا قِيلَ، قَالَ: وَاللهِ مَا كَشَفْتُ مُنْذُ كُنْتُ أُنْثَى قَطُّ، وَلَقُتِلَ شَهِيدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ " وَكَانَ عُرْوَةُ لَا يُسَمِّيهِ
Urwah bin al-Zubayr narrates from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: The man about whom that thing was said said: "By Allah, since I came of age I have never seen a woman uncovered." And he was killed as a martyr in the path of Allah. Urwah would not mention his name.
