حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَتَّاتُ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَا: ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ: «أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصَابَتْهُ جِرَاحٌ فَآلَمَتْ بِهِ فَدَبَّ إِلَى قَرْنٍ لَهُ فِي سَيْفِهِ فَأَخَذَ مِشْقَصًا فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wounded, and the wounds caused him great pain. So he crawled to his quiver, which was attached to his sword, took out an arrowhead and killed himself; so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not offer the funeral prayer over him.
