Aishah bint Abi Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with them both), wife of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (he gave her the kunyah Umm Abdullah after Abdullah bin al-Zubayr; the mother of Aishah and her brother Abd al-Rahman was Umm Ruman bint Amir bin Uwaymir bin Abd Shams bin Abd Manaf bin Udhaynah bin Subay' bin Dahman bin al-Harith bin Abd bin Malik)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19352 — she said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ، وَأَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا بِنْتُ سَبْعٍ، وَأُدْخِلْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ وَأَنَا أَلْعَبُ بِاللُّعَبِ، وَكَانَ لِي صَوَاحِبُ يَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي، فَرُبَّمَا اسْتَحْيَيْنَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُسَرِّبُهُنَّ إِلَيَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married me when I was seven years old, and the marriage was consummated when I was nine years old. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would come to me while I was playing with dolls, and I had some friends who used to play with me. Sometimes they would feel shy of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would send them to me.
