حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعَطَّارُ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثنا شَبَابٌ الْعُصْفُرِيُّ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي نُبَيْهُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، أَخِي مُصْعَبِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ فِي الْأُسَارَى يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اسْتَوْصُوا بِالْأَسَارَى خَيْرًا وَكُنْتُ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَكَانُوا إِذَا قَدَّمُوا غَدَاءَهُمْ وَعَشَاءَهُمْ أَكَلُوا التَّمْرَ وَأَطْعَمُونِي الْخُبْزَ بِوَصِيَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِيَّاهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abu Aziz bin Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him), the brother of Sayyiduna Mus'ab bin Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him), said: I was among the captives on the day of Badr, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I enjoin you to treat the captives well." I was with a group of the Ansar, and whenever they brought out their morning meal and their evening meal, they would eat dates themselves and feed me bread, because of the instruction the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had given them concerning us.
