Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19105 — when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew near

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mu'attib bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) drew near Khaybar and looked upon it, he said to his Companions, and I was among them: "Stop." Then he said: "O Allah, Lord of the heavens and whatever they shade, Lord of the earths and whatever they carry, Lord of the devils and whomever they lead astray, Lord of the winds and whatever they scatter! I ask You for the good of this town and the good of its inhabitants, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of its inhabitants, and the evil of whatever is in it. Advance, saying Bismillah (in the name of Allah)." And he (peace and blessings be upon him) would make this same supplication for every town he entered.
