حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَا: ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، عَنْ صِفَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «كَانَ أَشْكَلَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ ضَلِيعَ الْفَمِ مَنْهُوسَ الْعَقِبِ»
Simak says: I asked Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) about the description of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "There was a reddish tinge in the whites of his (peace and blessings be upon him) eyes, his (peace and blessings be upon him) mouth was wide, and his heels were lean."
