حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فَضَاءٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ نِيَارٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «أَتَى الْقَبَائِلَ يَدْعُو لَهُمْ وَتَرَكَ قَبِيلَةً لَمْ يِأْتِهِمْ فَأَنْكَرُوا ذَلِكَ، فَفَتَّشُوا مَتَاعَ صَاحِبٍ لَهُمْ فَوَجَدُوا قِلَادَةً فِي بَرْدَعَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ غَلَّهَا فَرَدُّوهَا فَأَتَاهُمْ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Burdah bin Niyar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the tribes and supplicated for them, and he left out one tribe whom he did not visit. They disliked that, so they searched the belongings of one of their companions and found in the saddle-cloth of one of their men a necklace that he had stolen. They returned it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to them and supplicated for them.
