حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَارِمُ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ: أَنَّ هِشَامَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: إِنَّكُمْ تُجَاوِزُونِي إِلَى رَهْطٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا كَانُوا بِأَلْزَمَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا أَحْفَظَ مِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «مَا بَيْنَ خَلْقِ آدَمَ وَقِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ فِتْنَةٌ أَعْظَمُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ»
Sayyiduna Hisham bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: You pass me by and go to a group of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), although they were not closer to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) than I was, nor did they have better memory than I. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Between the creation of Adam (peace be upon him) and the establishment of the Hour, there is no trial (fitnah) greater than the Dajjal."
