حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ اشْتَدَّتِ الْجِرَاحَاتُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَشَكَوْا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجِرَاحَاتِ، فَقَالَ: «احْفِرُوا وَأَوْسِعُوا وَأَحْسِنُوا وَادْفِنُوا الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةَ فِي الْقَبْرِ وَقَدِّمُوا أَكْثَرَهُمْ قُرْآنًا» فَقَدَّمُوا أَبِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَجُلَيْنِ
Sayyiduna Hisham bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: On the day of Uhud the wounds became severe, and the Companions complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) of the wounds. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Dig the graves, make them wide and make them well, and bury two or three in one grave, and place in front the one who knew the most Qur'an." So my father was placed in front of two men.
