حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ، وأَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ دُكَيْنٍ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ قَالَ: صَحِبْتُ عَلِيًّا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ فَرَأَيْتُ مِنْهُ بَعْضَ مَا أَكْرَهُ فَقُلْتُ: لَئِنْ رَجَعْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ لَأَشْكُوَنَّكَ إِلَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ لَقِيتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ: رَأَيْتُ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ كَذَا وَكَذَا، فَقَالَ: «لَا تَقُلْ هَذَا فَهُوَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِكُمْ بَعْدِي»
Sayyiduna Wahb bin Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I travelled with Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) from Madinah to Makkah, and I saw from him something I disliked, so I said: If I return to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I will certainly complain about you to him. When I arrived, I met the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I saw such and such from Ali. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not say this, for he is the one with the most right over you among the people after me."
