حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ، ووَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبْيَضَ قَدْ شَابَ، وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ يُشْبِهُهُ فَأَمَرَ لَنَا بِاثْنَيْ عَشَرَ قَلُوصًا فَذَهَبْنَا نَقْبِضُهَا فَأَتَيْنَا، وَفَاتَهُ فَلَمْ يُعْطُونَا شَيْئًا، فَلَمَّا قَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِدَةٌ فَلْيَجِئْ، فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَأَمَرَ لَنَا بِهَا "
Sayyiduna Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); he (peace and blessings be upon him) was fair-skinned and his (peace and blessings be upon him) hair had turned white, and Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) resembled him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that we be given twelve young she-camels, so we went to collect them, but when we arrived he (peace and blessings be upon him) had passed away, and we were given nothing. Then when Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) became caliph, he announced: Whoever was promised something by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), let him come. So I told him, and he ordered that we be given those she-camels.
