Abd al-Jabbar bin Wa'il (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that he said: "I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I would not have been pleased to be given the face of any desert-dwelling Arab in exchange for my face. I saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) praying; he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say the takbir when rising and when prostrating, and when concluding he would give the salam to his right and to his left, until I could see the whiteness of his (peace and blessings be upon him) cheek from here and from here."
