معمر بن عبد الله بن نضلة العدوي القرشي وهو معمر بن عبد الله بن نضلة بن حرثان بن عوف بن عبيد بن عويج بن عدي بن كعب , وأمه أشعرية , وكان من مهاجرة الحبشة ممن قدم على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في السفينتين
Ma'mar bin Abdullah bin Nadlah al-Adawi al-Qurashi (may Allah be pleased with him); he is Ma'mar bin Abdullah bin Nadlah bin Hurthan bin Awf bin Ubayd bin Uwayj bin Adi bin Ka'b; his mother was from the Ash'ar, and he was among those who emigrated to Abyssinia and came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the two ships

حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْعَدَوِيِّ، قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُنَادِي فِي النَّاسِ بِمِنًى: «إِنَّ أَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'mar bin Abdullah al-Adawi (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to announce among the people at Mina: "The days of Tashriq are days of eating and drinking."
