حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، حَدَّثَنِي النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَةَ بْنَ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي وَرَّادٌ، مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: أَمَرَنِي الْمُغِيرَةُ أَنْ أَكْتُبَ، إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ: «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»
Warrad, the freed slave of Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him), said: al-Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) ordered me to write to Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say after every prayer: "There is no true god except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner; His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the greatness of one who has greatness avails him nothing against You."
