It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by some people of the Ansar who were shooting at a pigeon as a target, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not make any living creature a target."
