Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17956 — The seal-ring of the Messenger of Allah
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَبُو عَتَّابٍ الدَّلَّالُ، ثنا أَبُو مَكِينٍ نُوحُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مُعَيْقِيبٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُعَيْقِيبٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَ» خَاتَمُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ مَلْوِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ فِضَّةٌ، فَرُبَّمَا كَانَ فِي يَدِي " وَكَانَ مُعَيْقِيبٌ عَلَى خَاتَمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Sayyiduna Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The seal-ring of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was of iron overlaid with silver, and sometimes it would be in my hand. And Sayyiduna Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) was in charge of the seal of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
