حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ بُكَيْرًا، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مُهَاجِرًا، مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ يَقُولُ: " خَدَمْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِنِينَ، فَلَمْ يَقُلْ لِي لِشَيْءٍ صَنَعْتُهُ: لِمَ صَنَعْتَهُ؟ وَلَا لِشَيْءٍ تَرَكْتُهُ: لِمَ تَرَكْتَهُ؟ " قَالَ ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ: «بُكَيْرٌ هَذَا الَّذِي هُوَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ هُوَ جَدِّي»
Sayyiduna Muhajir, the freed slave of Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), said: "I served the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for several years, and he never said to me about anything I had done: Why did you do it? Nor about anything I had left undone: Why did you leave it?" Ibn Bukayr said: This Bukayr mentioned in this hadith is my grandfather.
