Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1788 — Amir (al-Sha'bi) and the father of Dawud

Amir (al-Sha'bi) and the father of Dawud al-Awdi narrate: We heard Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This matter will remain established until twelve amirs have passed." And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said something briefly that I could not hear. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell silent, I asked my father Samurah: What was the thing he (peace and blessings be upon him) said briefly? He said: "All of them will be from Quraysh."
