Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i from al-Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17862 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This

حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَا مِثْلُ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا كَمَا يُدْخِلُ رَجُلٌ إِصْبَعَهُ فِي الْبَحْرِ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُهَا، فَبِمَ يَرْجِعُ؟»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This world, compared to the Hereafter, is only like a man putting his finger into the sea and then taking it out; so what does it bring back?"
