It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Munqa' (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with the zakah of our camels. He gave the order and it was received. I said: "Among them are two she-camels as a gift for you." So the gift was separated from the zakah. Then some days passed, and word spread among the people that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was going to send Khalid bin al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) to Raqiq Misr - or he said: Misr; Abu Ghassan was unsure - to collect zakah from them. I said: "By Allah, we and our families have no wealth (left), and their zakah is already here." So I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was riding his she-camel, and with him was a black man whose head was level with the head of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); I have never seen anyone among people taller than him. When I drew near, it was as if he lunged at me, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) held him back. I said: "People have gone into such-and-such a matter." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hand until I saw the whiteness of his armpits, then said: "O Allah, I do not permit them to tell lies about me." Al-Munqa' said: "So I have narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) only a hadith that the Book of Allah states or that the Sunnah has established. Lies were told about him (peace and blessings be upon him) even in his lifetime, so what will it be like after his death?"
