حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعُمَرِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنِ الْكَلْبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ، قَالَ: طَافَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْبَيْتِ فِي يَوْمٍ صَائِفٍ وَعَطِشٍ، وَاسْتَسْقَى فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، عِنْدَنَا شَرَابٌ مِنْ هَذَا الزَّبِيبِ، أَفَأَسْقِيكَ مِنْهُ؟ قَالَ: «بَلَى» ، فَبَعَثَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ فَأَتَى بِقَدَحٍ عَظِيمٍ «فَأَدْنَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ فِيهِ فَوَجَدَ لَهُ رِيحًا شَدِيدَةً فَكَرِهَهُ فَرَدَّهُ»
Sayyiduna al-Muttalib bin Abi Wada'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed tawaf of the House on a hot and thirsty day and asked for water. A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, we have a drink made from these raisins; shall I give you some of it to drink?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." The man sent someone to his house and brought a large cup. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought it close to his mouth, found a strong smell in it, disliked it and gave it back.
