حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَلَّافُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «يَكُونُ لِهَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ قَيِّمًا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ» ثُمَّ هَمَسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَلِمَةٍ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهَا، فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي: مَا الْكَلِمَةُ الَّتِي هَمَسَ بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»
Al-Sha'bi narrates that Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was with my father in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This Ummah will have twelve custodians; whoever abandons them will not harm them." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said something quietly that I could not hear, so I asked my father: What did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say quietly? He said: "All of them will be from Quraysh."
