أبو العلاء يزيد بن عبد الله بن الشخير، عن معقل بن يسار
Abu al-Ala Yazid bin Abdullah bin al-Shikhkhir from Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17621 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: أَنَا أَبِي، ثنا شَدَّادُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ، حَدَّثَنِي مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَأَنْ يُطْعَنَ فِي رَأْسِ رَجُلٍ بِمِخْيَطٍ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمَسَّ امْرَأَةً لَا تَحِلُّ لَهُ»
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That the head of a man be pierced with an iron needle is better for him than that he touch a woman who is not lawful for him."
