حَدَّثَنَا وَاثِلَةُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعِرْقِيُّ، ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَذَّاءُ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَدْهَمَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظًا وَهُوَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى إِنْفَاذِهِ خَيَّرَهُ اللهُ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ ثَوْبَ جَمَالٍ وَهُوَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى لُبْسِهِ كَسَاهُ اللهُ رِدَاءَ الْإِيمَانِ، وَمَنْ أَنْكَحَ عَبْدًا لِلَّهِ وَضَعَ اللهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ تَاجَ الْمُلْكِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever suppresses his anger while he has the power to act upon it, Allah Almighty will give him the choice among the wide-eyed houris (hur al-'in) on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever gives up a beautiful garment while being able to wear it, Allah Almighty will clothe him with the cloak of faith. And whoever arranges the marriage of a slave for the sake of Allah, Allah Almighty will place the crown of kingship upon his head."
