حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ أَلْفَ آيَةٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَتَبَهُ اللهُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites one thousand verses in the path of Allah, Allah Almighty records him with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous."
