معاذ بن أنس الجهني
Mu'adh bin Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17529 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Utter
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ زَبَّانَ بْنِ فَايِدٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْجَفَاءُ كُلُّ الْجَفَاءِ، وَالْكُفْرُ وَالنِّفَاقُ: مَنْ سَمِعَ مُنَادِيَ اللهِ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ وَيَدْعُو إِلَى الْفَلَاحِ فَلَا يُجِيبُهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Utter harshness, disbelief and hypocrisy is this: that a person hears the caller of Allah calling to the prayer and inviting to success, and does not respond to his call."
