حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُلَيْحٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ: «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، ثُمَّ مِنْ؟ بَنِي دِينَارِ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ جَابِرُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ لَا عَقِبَ لَهُ»
Ibn Shihab narrates, among the names of those of the Ansar who took part in Badr, and then from Banu Dinar bin al-Najjar: "Jabir bin Khalid bin Abd al-Ashhal; he had no descendants."
