Abdur-Rahman bin Ma'mar al-Ansari (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: A man had a certain claim (a debt) against me, and I was afraid of him, so I stayed sitting at home for two days and did not go out. Then I went out and came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Mu'adh, what kept you back?" I said: A man had a claim (a debt) against me, and I was so afraid of him that I felt ashamed and disliked that he should meet me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you some words which, if you say them, then even if you owe (a debt) the size of mountains, Allah will pay it off?" I said: "Certainly." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say: 'O Allah, Owner of sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will' [Al Imran: 26] up to 'without measure' [Al Imran: 27], to the end: 'O Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter, and the Compassionate of both! You give from them to whom You will and withhold from them from whom You will. O Allah, free me from need of poverty, pay off my debt for me, and cause me to die among Your servants and while striving (jihad) in Your path.'"
