حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ» ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ فَقَرَأَ بِالنِّسَاءِ، فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ: {وَاتَّخَذَ اللهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلًا} [النساء: ١٢٥] " قَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ: قَدْ قَرَّتْ عَيْنُ أُمِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
Amr bin Maymun (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him to Yemen. He led the people in the Fajr prayer and recited Surah al-Nisa'. When he reached this verse: "And Allah took Ibrahim as an intimate friend" [al-Nisa': 125], a woman said: The eye of Ibrahim's mother has been comforted.
