حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْأُرْدُنِّيُّ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نَسِيٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ السِّمْطِ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ: «غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَصَبْنَا غَنَمًا، فَقَسَمَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَائِفَةً مَنْهَا، وَجَعَلَ بَقِيَّتَهَا فِي الْمَغْنَمِ»
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We went on an expedition with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and obtained some sheep. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed a portion of them among us, and put the rest into the spoils.
