Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17275 — When the Prophet ﷺ was in his prayer, he

Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in his prayer, he would raise his hands up to the level of his ears, then when he said the takbir he would release them and then fall silent. Sometimes I saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) placing his right hand on his left. Then when he finished Surah al-Fatihah he would fall silent, and when he completed the surah he would fall silent. Then he would raise his hands up to the level of his ears, say the takbir and bow, and we would not bow until we saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) bowing. Then he would stand up straight from his bowing until every limb settled in its place. Then he would raise his hands up to the level of his ears, say the takbir and fall into prostration, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would press his forehead and nose firmly upon the ground. Then he would rise like an arrow, not supporting himself on his hands. When he sat at the end of his prayer, he would lean on his left thigh and place his right hand on his right thigh, and he would point with his finger when supplicating. And when he gave the salam, he would quickly stand up.
