حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نَسِيٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَيَمَّمُ بِالصَّعِيدِ، فَلَمْ أَرَهُ يَمْسَحُ يَدَيْهِ وَوَجْهَهُ إِلَّا مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً»
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform dry ablution (tayammum) with the soil of the earth, and I saw him wipe his hands and face only once.
