حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا تَحَابَّ رَجُلَانِ فِي اللهِ إِلَّا وَضَعَ اللهُ لَهُمَا كُرْسِيًّا فَأُجْلِسَا عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنَ الْحِسَابِ» فَقَالَ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ: صَدَقَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ubaydah bin al-Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When two men love each other for the sake of Allah, Allah places a chair for the two of them, and they sit on it until Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has finished the reckoning." Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Abu Ubaydah has spoken the truth."
