Sayyiduna al-Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) died on the day the news of the death of Yazid bin Mu'awiyah reached Sayyiduna Ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both), in the year 64 AH, and Sayyiduna Ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) led his funeral prayer at al-Hajun. A stone from a catapult had struck him while he was praying in the Hatim, and he lived for five days, then died in Rabi' al-Awwal of the year 64 AH. He was born two years after the Hijrah and was brought to Madinah at the end of Dhu al-Hijjah of the year 8 AH. He was present in the year of the Conquest of Makkah when he was six years old, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away he was eight years old - meaning Sayyiduna al-Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him).
