حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ مَرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْفَيَّاضِ، عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: «صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَقَامَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ فَسَبَّحَ بِهِ النَّاسُ، فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِيَدِهِ أَنْ قُومُوا، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ سَجَدَ لِذَلِكَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ» ، وَقَالَ: «هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَ»
Ma'n bin Ali (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "I prayed with Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Commander of the Believers. In the second rak'ah he stood up (instead of sitting), and the people alerted him by saying Subhan Allah, but he gestured to them with his hand to stand up. When he had completed his prayer, he performed two prostrations for that lapse, then gave the salam," and he said: "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) do it."
