حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُدَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ تَسْوِيَةَ الْقُبُورِ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ، وَقَدْ رَفَعَتِ الْيَهُودُ، وَالنَّصَارَى فَلَا تَشَّبَّهُوا بِهِمَا»
Abu Mijlaz (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Levelling graves is from the Sunnah. The Jews and the Christians raised them high, so do not imitate either of them."
