حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الشَّاذَكُونِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَزَالُ فِي هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ قَوْمٌ يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى أَمْرِ اللهِ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ عَدَاوَةُ مَنْ عَادَاهُمْ وَلَا خِذْلَانُ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُمْ أَمْرُ اللهِ تَعَالَى وَهُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ»
Muslim bin Hurmuz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will always be a group in this Ummah fighting for the command of Allah; the enmity of those who oppose them and the desertion of those who forsake them will not harm them, until the command of Allah Almighty comes to them while they are in that state."
