حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي رِزْمَةَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، أَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ يُرِدِ اللهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ»
Imam Yunus bin Yazid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates, through Imam al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him), from Humayd bin Abdul Rahman bin Awf (may Allah have mercy on him), from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever Allah intends good for, He grants him understanding of the religion."
