Al-Harith bin Ma'bad (may Allah have mercy on him) relates that his paternal uncle Harmalah bin Abd al-Aziz narrated from his father, from his grandfather Sayyiduna Sabrah bin Ma'bad (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Juhaynah are from me and I am from them. They became angry at my anger and pleased at my pleasure; I become angry at their anger and pleased at their pleasure. So whoever angers them has angered me, and whoever angers me has angered Allah." At this, Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: He (peace and blessings be upon him) said this hadith only about Quraysh. Sayyiduna Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) myself, and at that time you were dead (i.e. you had not yet accepted Islam).
