حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الشَّاذَكُونِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَاقِدِيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَازِمِيُّ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَهْلٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ جَعَلَ الْحَقَّ عَلَى لِسَانِ عُمَرَ وَقَلْبِهِ»
Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has placed the truth upon the tongue and the heart of Umar."
